Printed Electronics Projects

Our dedication to innovation is tireless, which is reflected in the R&D projects in which we participate. These projects allow us to develop unique and customized solutions for a wide variety of applications and markets, enabling us to be at the forefront of the field of printed electronics.

Smart Battery Case

Functionalization of materials for electromobility

Project Objective
The Smart Battery Case project aimed to develop an intelligent solution for monitoring battery status by integrating printed electronics directly into the battery case or associated components, in order to improve the safety, control, and lifespan of energy storage systems.

Consortium capabilities
The consortium brought together expertise in printed electronics, sensors, and energy management systems, enabling the design of functional, low-profile solutions that are easily integrated into batteries and compatible with industrial processes.

Solution to the challenge
Conventional battery monitoring usually requires rigid components or external systems that increase complexity and costs. Smart Battery Case addressed this challenge by integrating printed sensors capable of measuring key parameters such as temperature, deformation, or operating conditions, providing relevant information for early fault detection and predictive maintenance.
